WASHINGTON, DC – Barron Industries is participating in the Association of the United States Army’s 2018 Annual Meeting and Exposition being held October 8-10 in Washington, DC. Barron produces components for the Stryker A1 30mm, the latest upgrade to the Stryker family of vehicles, which is being displayed at the exposition. A supplier to General Dynamics Land Systems for more than 30 years, Barron has been involved in all Stryker variants, providing many precision cast and machined components including hatch rings and turret rings, as well as other hardware components such as latch assemblies and suspension mounts.
Barron Industries provides its Aerospace and Defense customers with complete mission-critical assemblies in half the industry-standard lead time. AS9100D and NADCAP accredited, Barron is a unique full-service manufacturer of both ferrous and non-ferrous investment castings, precision machined components, 3D printed rapid prototypes and completely assembled mechanical sub-systems. Barron’s vertically integrated manufacturing process includes CNC machining, non-destructive testing, welding, assembly, barcode labeling and serialization – all performed in-house at its 65-thousand square foot facility in southeast Michigan, a global hub for the aerospace, defense, and automotive industries.
“Every component we manufacture is traced back to each operation, who performed it, and when,” said CEO Bruce Barron. “Putting all of this together and providing a complete package to the customer in half the normal lead time is what makes Barron Industries valuable to its customers.”
Barron Industries is a supplier to some of the largest aerospace and defense contractors including Oshkosh, BAE, Rafael, Lockheed-Martin, and General Dynamics, just to name a few. Typical components supplied by Barron to the defense industry include mounts, housings, power distribution chassis, towing components, canards, and exhaust tubes.
“Barron produces complete assembly components that go on a wide range of aerospace and defense systems such as the Abrams tank, the Stryker armored personnel carrier, the Spice 2000 ordinance, the Boeing 767 refueling jet, and more,” said Barron. “These are just a few of the programs for which Barron’s customers rely on the AS9100 and NADCAP certified processes and systems here at Barron to ensure that they get all of their mission-critical components on time and to specification,” he said.
